Drafting of ISO 19011 Heads for Third CD

Although ISO/CD2 19011 had been expected to be elevated to DIS to keep the draft on schedule for publication in September 2001, the JWG agreed to circulate its revisions to ISO/CD2 19011 as a third CD at the conclusion of its September meeting in Cancun. John Stratton indicates that there were several significant changes to CD2 that are real improvements, but that most JWG delegates agreed it would be inappropriate to circulate such a different document as a DIS without first giving the EA and QA experts in the member bodies a chance to review it and provide their feedback. Stratton provides information about the three most significant improvements in ISO/CD3 19011 and next steps are discussed.
