About the Experts

Govind Ramu is a senior quality manager and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt for JDS Uniphase Corporation, a worldwide leader in optical technology headquartered in Milpitas, Calif. An ASQ member since 1998 and an ASQ Fellow, Ramu holds six ASQ certifications, including Certified Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor, Software Quality Engineer and Reliability Engineer. Ramu has coauthored ASQ’s Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Handbook.

Tara Holloway is the manager of global supplier quality at Graham Packaging Company. There she developed and implemented the global supplier quality program from its foundation. Holloway is a Six Sigma Green Belt. Her background includes process engineering, environmental and facility responsibilities, and operations management in manufacturing. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA with a concentration in engineering management.
