Milwaukee, Wis., September 2, 2009 – The American Society for Quality (ASQ), www.asq.org, invites government and public healthcare quality professionals to register for two free webinars; one focuses on the process improvement success story of the public health organization NIATx, and the other highlights strategies to make lean process improvement a priority in local, state and national government.

Out of Crisis: Business Process Management Tools for Turbulent Times

Edwards Deming’s message and translate it into a research-based, practical, and easy-to-use set of principles and practices to help health and human service organizations transform the way they do business. It has grown from a pilot process improvement effort with 23 service providers to a nationally recognized initiative involving more than 1,000 payers, policymakers and behavioral health providers nationally. The presentation will be a practical walkthrough of the NIATx approach with an emphasis on the tools used for incremental process improvement, as well as large-scale change.
