ASQ Launches Quality for Life™ Web Site
Interactive Web Site highlights quality professionals who make a difference
Milwaukee, Wis., June 25, 2009 — ASQ has launched the Quality for Life™ Web site to celebrate the humanistic accomplishments of quality; promoting the work of quality professionals who use their passion, commitment and skills to make a difference on the job, in their communities and throughout the world. ASQ members and visitors can now view inspiring Quality for Life accounts by visiting the Web site at www.asq.org/qualityforlife.
The Quality for Life Web site is the next evolution of the initiative launched by ASQ in October of 2008. Because quality is more than a profession, the program was created to share stories and recognize quality professionals who use quality tools and techniques at work, home, or through volunteer efforts, to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
In addition to housing Quality for Life stories, the new Web site will include the following features:
- Interactive Map — The global map found on the homepage allows visitors to directly link to Quality for Life stories from quality professionals who impact individuals worldwide.
- Quality for Life videos — See and hear how quality professionals are making a difference.
- Story Submission — ASQ members can submit stories using an easy-to-follow submission form.
- Story Comments — At the end of every Quality for Life story there will be a comment box that allows users to comment on posted stories.
- Social Media — Stay up-to-date with the latest Quality for Life information by linking to social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook.
“The Quality for Life Web site is a great testament to the individuals who use quality to make the world a better place, and our hope is that it will provide strong encouragement for ASQ members to submit their stories as well as motivate others to make a difference,” said Roberto Saco, ASQ president. “It is truly inspiring to see the work ASQ members engage in which serves a higher purpose — improving the lives of others.”
