ASQ Offers Free Baldrige in Healthcare Webinars

Three-part Series Highlights Framework for Performance Excellence

Milwaukee, Wis., June 17, 2009 – A new three-part webinar series—Journey to Excellence—spotlights nine healthcare organizations and their use of the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Criteria to drive organizational transformation. Based on the recently published book Journey to Excellence: How Baldrige Health Care Leaders Succeed, the free series is offered via the Web by ASQ (American Society for Quality), www.asq.org.

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is the nation’s highest honor for quality and performance excellence in the categories of healthcare, manufacturing, service, small business, education and nonprofit organizations.

The first webinar, Journey to Excellence: Leadership, will take place Thursday, June 25 at 2 p.m. CST.  Register Now to learn how Baldrige is being used to help organizations address the challenges facing healthcare today as well as how to identify the recognizable stages and common pitfalls in the journey to excellence using the Baldrige framework.  Leaders from 2008 Baldrige Award-winning hospitals share their perspectives and learning about the Baldrige process.
