Free Online Event Provides People Perspective on Metrics

Milwaukee, Wis., May 11, 2009 – ASQ (American Society for Quality) is offering a free webinar on how to measure the effectiveness of a healthcare organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.  John S.Toussaint, MD, president and CEO of Thedacare Center for Healthcare Value, a community-owned health system in Appleton, Wis., will share his vision on the topic.

The webinar, titled Mapping and Measuring a Culture of Continuous Improvement in Healthcare Delivery: What Is True North?, is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. CDT, and sponsored by Statit Software, a leader in continuous performance improvement solutions for healthcare.

The presentation will focus on understanding how to embed continuous improvement into an organization’s fabric and engage all staff members using four key metric areas, which Toyota coined as "True North Metrics." This event will be of special interest to healthcare executives, service directors and quality professionals who are charged with leading, directing and developing people in a way necessary to create a lean and high value healthcare organization.
