ASQ Promotes Gumieny to Senior Sales Manager

Milwaukee, Wis., December 3, 2008 – The American Society for Quality (ASQ) has promoted Erica Gumieny to senior sales manager. In her new role, Gumieny will lead both the product and media sales efforts for the Society, concentrating on advancing the global expansion and use of quality tools, training, and certification, which help companies of all sizes to save money, improve processes, and reduce waste. In addition, Gumieny will provide organizations with opportunities to be affiliated with ASQ through a variety of advertising and sponsorships.

"I am excited about this opportunity to promote quality tools and practices among our growing membership," Gumieny said. "With the innovative products and services offered by ASQ, quality will continue to be a concept that holds value for organizations, especially in these tough economic times."

Prior to her position as senior sales manager, Gumieny was manager of ASQ’s Media Sales group. Before ASQ, Gumieny spent four years as sales director of Metroparent Magazine, Milwaukee, Wis.

Gumieny has a bachelor’s degree in business and management from Alverno College, and is an active member of Professional Dimensions, an organization that promotes the personal and professional growth of women through social business exchanges and community involvement.
