ASQ Partners With CCAA to Host Quality Event in Beijing
Event to Focus on the Value of Quality-Related Certifications
Milwaukee, Wis., March 26, 2008—ASQ is partnering with the China Certification and Accreditation Association (CCAA) to host an Executive Roundtable on April 8, 2008, in Beijing, China.
The event will focus on the value of quality-related certifications. The roundtable panelists will discuss a quality-related best practice and a quality methodology/tool that their organization employed to respond to the changing landscape, in respect to globalization.
“Demonstrating the value of quality and certifications to corporations, business leaders and quality professionals in China will encourage the pursuit of these valuable certifications,” said Paul Borawski, executive director and chief strategic officer of ASQ. “Certifications will deepen the understanding of quality principles and assist in the production of quality goods and services that are good for both China and the many multinational corporations that do business there.”
Government officials and business leaders are expected to be in attendance. Li Changjiang, minister of China's Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) will address the group at the opening ceremony. Moderators and panelists include:

This event is a result of an agreement between ASQ and CCAA to work together to advance quality in the two countries, mostly through the exchange of information and other resources.
