Incoming ASQ President Mike Nichols’s Inaugural Address

In his inaugural speech, incoming ASQ President Mike Nichols laid out three driving forces that bring people together into the ASQ quality community.  He urged members to reach out to one another and to give back to the community that nurtures their careers in quality.

Nichols, of Greensboro, North Carolina, is the principal consultant for Nichols Quality Associates, a consortium of Lean and Six Sigma Master Black Belts.  His one-year term as ASQ president begins July 1, 2007.

The remarks were delivered in Orlando, Florida, on May 1 at the ASQ annual banquet held in conjunction with the World Conference on Quality and Improvement.
