Voices in Quality Profile Guidelines

If you would like to compose your own profile, you may send an e-mail. Attach a Microsoft-Word-compatible document and a photo. Please note that we reserve the right to reject photos that don’t meet minimum standards for professional-quality business images.

Please try to limit your profile submission to 750 words. Including a variety of short facts and longer quotations will also help to hold reader interest.

The following questions may help you get started, but do not feel compelled to answer every question. Some members also like to share information about their families, hobbies, or other activities.

1. Please share any information you would like regarding your professional background, such as …

  • How long have you worked in quality?
  • How long have you been an ASQ member?
  • What is your current job? (title, organization/company, location, responsibilities)
  • What is your previous work experience?
  • What is your educational background? (degrees, certifications, training)
  • Do you participate in any volunteer activities?
  • Where else can we find you on the Web? (Do you have a profile on a social networking site? What is your organization’s Web address?)

2. Please share details on your contributions to quality knowledge, including …

  • Publications you have authored
  • Courses you have taught
  • Conferences at which you have spoken
  • ASQ review board participation

3. Please consider offering a statement about quality, or a point of advice for your quality colleagues, such as …

  • What are some of the most important challenges facing quality or the quality professional?
  • What kind of future does quality have?
  • What’s your favorite benefit or application of quality?
  • How do you apply quality knowledge or tools off the job?
  • Why did you choose to enter the quality field, or how did you get started?
  • Are there any recent quality resources (books, conferences, courses, Web pages, etc.) that you have found to be especially helpful for your career?
  • What’s your best advice to someone new to quality?

If you wish to amend or update your profile at any time, e-mail us, or call us at 1-800-248-1946, and provide updated files, along with an explanation of the changes.
