Welcome!The Inspection Division is committed to providing a forum and support for all who have responsibility and interest in inspection technology, methods, tools, and techniques. The Division sponsors two certification exams: the Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) exam, formerly known as the Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) exam and the Certified Quality Technician (CQT) exam . Many certified members are invited to attend ASQ exam development, maintenance, and improvement workshops, Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the annual Inspection Division Membership Meeting that is held at the World Conference on Quality and Improvement (WCQI). All are welcome, also, to join us for the Division Council meetings which are held twice yearly, one at the WCQI in May, and the other in early fall, usually following a Division-sponsored workshop or conference. The Division sponsors the International Inspector of the Year Award which is presented at the annual membership meeting and the Division awards two Scholarships whose recipients are announced at the annual membership meeting. The Division sponsors technical sessions for the WQCI and requests your papers for presentation at WCQI and other Division conferences and workshops. Some Division members are active in the Standards Committee and participate in Standard creation, maintenance, and revision. Immediate Past Chair Gregory Gay hosts our Discussion Board routing your questions and remarks to subject matter experts for in-depth discussions and information sharing . Please propose topics and share your knowledge, experience, and expertise on our Discussion Board. We look forward to your joining us at an upcoming Inspection Division event!
