The eSection is a unique resource for networking, education and information exchange in an electronic, virtual venue.  Activities and interactions include discussion boards for idea exchange and networking, a distinct Web site for resources on a variety of quality-related topics, and learning event opportunities.

The ASQ eSection, uses advanced technologies, is an innovative, global community of members dedicated to improving their professional and personal lives with quality related education, networking, and knowledge exchange.

Purpose/Objective
The intent of the electronic section is to be a resource and option for members whose travel, work or personal schedules or location prevent you from participating in your local section activities. The eSection is an avenue for those who chose the virtual, Associate membership to have a gathering place within the society.

Benefits
Benefits are designed to provide members with an experience similar to a local section.  Specific benefits of the electronic section will include, but are not limited to participation in monthly electronic meetings consisting of facilitated chats and discussions on a variety of topics of interest, discussion boards, member profiles, newsletters and more. 

Value
The eSection provides an opportunity to meet and network with members globally.  It brings the vastness of ASQ's 100,000 global members down to a scale that is comfortable and personal.  The value to members includes:

• Networking 24/7 - not constrained to business hours, time zones,
• Provides an avenue for members who prefer networking electronically,
• Opportunities for volunteer leadership without the commitment of a physical presence.

Membership
The eSection is an automatic benefit of the Associate membership.  However, both Forum and Regular members are able to add-on the eSection for an additional $20.  In addition, ASQ seniors/fellows may choose the eSection as their additional benefit.
