New Roles for TWEF Leadership Team
July marks the beginning of a new fiscal year for ASQ and introduces changes in the TWEF Leadership Council makeup.
Michael Glowacki takes the reins as the TWEF Leadership Council Chair. Michael led the Member Engagement Sub-committee team last year while serving as TWEF Leadership Council chair-elect.
Glenn Walters, TWEF Leadership Council Chair FY 2009–10, rotates into the immediate past chair position on the leadership team.
Chuck Underwood was unanimously selected as the chair-elect and will also continue to serve as the Body of Knowledge (BOK) Sub-committee chair during 2010–11.
Kerry Higgins officially assumes her role as Chair, Member Engagement Sub-committee starting this month.
Gene Kirsh also begins his first full year as Member Value Sub-committee chair. As vice-chair, Gene stepped up and served as acting chair when the former Sub-committee chair had to step down for personal reasons.
And a Hearty Round of Applause for Mike Whisman!
Mike Whisman has been a TWEF Leader Council Leader and contributor for a greater part of this decade. Many of you may know Mike for his role as ITEA chair, but in 2009–10 he also served on the TWEF Leadership Council as immediate past chair. Mike has helped the TWE Forum make great strides over the past couple of years, and we thank him for his time, service, and dedication!
Two New Co-Vice Chairs for TWEF Member Value Sub-Committee
The new fiscal year also ushers in two new Co-vice Chairs of the TWEF Member Value Sub-Committee.

There have been many articles and books written on why teams fail, including the very popular Five Dysfunctions of Teams. ASQ member Deborah Mackin, president of New directions Consulting, goes off the beaten path a bit and looks at some of the less discussed reasons why teams fail — the other six dysfunctions of teams.
