The QA/QC Manager is responsible for a program covers construction operations on‑site and off‑site and built and executed for the mechanical and electrical systems for a Sacramento project.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, with the assistance of others, will implement a program to monitor, verify, and accept the work of the project during the construction installation, but mainly focusing on the equipment and the system components.

The QA Manger will help to design the QC Plan for the project, regularly attend QA/QC Planning Meetings with the Client, and conduct QA/QC meetings on site.  Additional duties include performing submittal review, ensuring testing is performed, and preparing QC certifications and documentation necessary to provide materials, equipment, workmanship, fabrication, construction and operations which comply with the requirements of this Contract.

The QA/QC Manager, or Designated Alternate must be on site for any work or testing to be performed.

The QA/C Manager reports directly to an Officer of the Organization and is not subordinate to, the Project Superintendent or the Contractor’s Project Manager.  The position reports to the Project Executive and Exec. VP/ General manager for the Western Region.

Qualifications: A graduate of a four-year, accredited college program in one of the following disciplines:  Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science with a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a superintendent, inspector, QA/QC Manager, project manager, or construction manager on major and complex projects of similar size and scope.
