Patsy Brown
Mrs. Brown holds masters degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas and Engineering Management from National Technological University. She is a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Quality Manager as recognized by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Mrs. Brown has taught many refresher courses for ASQ certification exams at local colleges and universities. She is certified by Plexus Corporation to teach Plexus training modules in ISO 9000, RABQSA certified Lead Auditor classes, ISO/TS 16949 and Core Tools and has taught ISO/TS 16949 courses for the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). Mrs. Brown worked to establish the Arkansas Quality Award and has served as a lead examiner and examiner trainer for the Award. She served as an examiner and senior examiner in the AT&T Chairman's Quality Award process, a Baldrige-based award. Mrs. Brown served as a civilian judge in the Air Force Quality Award. She has written applications for Baldrige-based awards and implemented quality systems supported by the Baldrige criteria. Mrs. Brown is a fellow in the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and has served as an officer at the local, division, and national Board of Director levels, including Regional Director (1993-94), Executive Regional Director (1994-95), and Vice President of Divisions and Technical Committees (1995-96). Mrs. Brown has made presentations on a variety of quality management and engineering topics at state and national conferences. She is a contributing author to the Purchasing Handbook, published by the ISM. Mrs. Brown is a native of Arkansas and lives in Pine Bluff with her husband and son. She enjoys music and traveling. Mrs. Patsy Ball Brown has twenty-seven years experience in quality engineering and quality management with AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and as an independent trainer and consultant. Mrs. Brown has a broad base of experience in quality management, quality engineering, and other management systems. She has developed and implemented ISO 9000 based quality systems and has provided consulting and training support to many companies in achieving registration to one of the ISO 9000-based standards. Mrs. Brown has extensive audit experience in evaluating quality systems for compliance to the requirements of the various standards. She has provided training and consulting support in developing parallel management systems in environmental management and safety.
