John Walz
John Walz has helped many groups within AT&T and Lucent Technologies obtain ISO 9000 and TL 9000 certifications. He provided strategic quality planning for the Lucent Technologies supply chain before retiring from that organization, and is now a senior management consultant for The Sutton Group. He is a member of the SOX-Q/E Team in support of the Sarbanes-Oxley Law (SOX).
Within ASQ, Walz:
Walz also is involved in quality standards development as a member of the US TAG to ISO TC 176 Quality Management, and in computer standards development and software engineering standards development. Recently he co-authored a book on using software engineering standards to attain documentation standards required by the Software Engineering Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).
