Thomas A. Scripps
Thomas A. Scripps has been assisting practitioners of statistical methods for twenty-eight years. His areas of statistical expertise include statistical thinking for management of processes, forecasting, test method development, statistical process control, experimentation, process capability, and reliability.
Mr. Scripps holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Science degree in Statistics from Colorado State University . In addition to membership in the American Statistical Association and the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Mr. Scripps was awarded Certified Quality Engineer status in 1982 and was honored by receiving ASQ’s “Outstanding Faculty “award for 1997-1998.
After working in industry (Hewlett-Packard, Johns-Manville, and 3M) from 1973 to 1983, Mr. Scripps formed his own company committed to helping organizations obtain and retain competitiveness by better applying statistical thinking and statistical methods for product and process improvement. From 1983 to the present, as principal of Scripps & Associates, PC, his extensive experience consulting and computer-based training has covered product-focused applications from research and development through product and process development, product manufacturing, as well as service-focused applications in customer service.
