Sandi Claudell

Sandi Claudell started her career as a software engineer. While designing and building software applications, she fell in love with statistics and quality. She had the privilege of working with engineers designing and building new computer technology. In the capacity of a quality manager in R&D, Sandi studied with Shigeo Shingo and other managers from Toyota Motors (Japan) in Lean and JIT. She earned her Black Belt and Master Black Belt through a strategic partnership with Motorola.

Sandi teaches courses in JIT, error-proofing devices, quick change overs, design of experiments, QFD and other tools commonly used in Six Sigma and Lean. She was a consultant to Ford Motor Company (worldwide) for two years, working with both management as well as the UAW. Recently, she worked with Creative Healthcare to help hospitals and healthcare systems use Lean to improve both the delivery of care and administrative areas.
