Warwick Powell
Warwick Powell is a strategy and facilitation specialist. Mr.Powell's experience in business, management consulting and strategic management spans 30 years. He consults with private sector, not for profit and government organizations in areas of Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, Executive Coaching, Partnering, and Strategic Alliances/Collaborations. He has been trained in and has applied the process of Open Space Technology, a tool for large group facilitation based on self selection concepts. He is a co-author of Partnership and Enterprise: Putting Porter into Practice.
Warwick co-founded and continues to be a director of New Zealand 's first Virtual organizations for consultants called the Virtual Group - Business Consultants with an office in Pittsburgh. He has held the position of Chair and Director of various other companies. He was President of the New Zealand Strategic Management Society in 1990.
Warwick has worked or consulted in different countries including New Zealand, USA, Canada, Trinidad, and Switzerland, in a diverse range of fields including manufacturing, marketing, sales, management, and cluster development.
Warwick has a Certificate in Business Administration from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, in Edmonton, Canada and, a Mechanical Engineering Certificate from the Central Institute of Technology in New Zealand. His early training was with the Royal New Zealand Air Force in aircraft engineering.
