Ken Coburn, M.D., M.P.H. (Senior Member, ASQ)

Ken Coburn is founder and CEO of Health Quality Partners, a not-for-profit healthcare quality research and development organization based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania (Site Member, ASQ).  He spent many years leading care teams serving the HIV/AIDS population in New York City. That led to work creating new healthcare delivery models.  Ken helped develop clinical improvement strategies in a wide variety of healthcare settings for more than 20 years. He began developing a cooperative among HQP’s collaborating health providers to openly share improvement knowledge and techniques for deploying advanced enterprise-wide process and outcome analysis and reporting tools.  As principal investigator for HQP’s Medicare Coordinated Care Demonstration, Ken designed research strategies to test a new model of population-based care management for chronically ill older adults.
