Lestie Pennell Carey

Lestie Pennell Carey has many years of experience as an ISO 9001 and a QS-9000 facilitator. Lestie has carried out similar quality management system projects for a wide range of automotive suppliers including Honda.

Lestie leads management and employees in co-designing, planning, and implementing organizational change in manufacturing, service, medical, and educational industries. Lestie uses TQM, continual improvement, decision-making, and personal communication tools in her organizational change programs.

Lestie’s instructional scope includes ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, root cause analysis, problem solving, self-directed work teams, and FMEA. In addition to automotive, Lestie’s has provided training to the finance, industrial maintenance, and tool and die industries.

As an instructor/consultant her curricula content includes:

• Quality issues – ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, calibration systems, measuring systems, ISO Lead and Internal Auditor, formal problem solving, FMEA, develop supplier quality manual for automotive
• Communication – personal responsibility for effective communication, tools to improve communication skills, teaming
• Organization Development – decision making, roles and responsibilities, how to implement change, how to measure success

• Bachelors Degree in Education from Bowling Green
• Masters Degree in Education from University of Georgia
