Marti Beltz has over twenty years experience in quality, specializing in integrating human factors with outcomes measurement. She currently serves as a senior consultant with the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Performance Excellence (MGH-CPE) and as a Lean Six Sigma instructor for the American Society for Quality (ASQ). She has served as Director of Process/Performance Improvement several healthcare systems, as well as Clinical Assessment/Research Project Specialist at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Marti also has experience as a psychotherapist, college professor, expert witness, and speaker for over 500 presentations at the local, state, regional, and national levels, including the upcoming 2010 ASQ World Conference. Marti earned a BS in Psychology/Health Education from the Ohio State University. Her Kent State University Master’s and Doctoral work are in Psychology: Organizational Development and Research. Marti’s certifications include Master Six Sigma: Black Belt and Lean; and Certified Professional Healthcare Quality. Marti has served as an Examiner for the 2007 and 2008 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and as a Judge for ASQ’s International Team Excellence Award. She is the co-author the book Root Cause Analysis and Improvement in the Health Care Sector: A Step-by-Step Guide published by ASQ.
