Workshop: Alignment – A Systems Approach - Direction, Communication and Performance: Leadership’s Role in Organizational Alignment
Presenters: Sandra Byrne, Jeff Lucas, Kirby Lehman and Diane Bosworth
- To achieve breakthrough performance in individual schools or across the district, improvement efforts need to align with one another and with the overall organizational strategy and direction. Without common plans, processes, information, resource decisions or performance measures, the efforts are inefficient and may even work in opposition. This session explores the role of senior leaders in ensuring organizational alignment as laid out by the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Set direction, communicate expectations and review performance.
