Margaret A. Byrnes, Ed.S.
Quality Education Associates
Margaret Byrnes is the managing associate for Quality Education Associates, an educational consulting and training firm. She is also the author or co-author of six books on quality in education including There Is Another Way! Launch a Baldrige-based Quality Classroom and The Principal's Leadership Counts! Launch a Baldrige-Based Quality School. Margaret's 30-year career in education includes positions as a secondary teacher, nationally certified counselor, school administrator and university lecturer.
For 17 years, Margaret worked to bring Dr. W. Edwards Deming's modern quality philosophy and process of continuous improvement to education. She now focuses her efforts on training educators in the Baldrige approach, and is the Baldrige coach for several school districts. Margaret is an alumni Baldrige examiner, who trained thousands of teachers and school administrators around the world.
Margaret is the vice-chair for ASQ’s Education Division and the editor of ASQ’s online education newsletter – the eBrief. She is also a member of ASQ's Education Advisory Committee.
