Mac Stevenson was appointed Executive Vice President and General Manager, Aeronautics Operations, for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company in September 2005. In this position, he is responsible for improving program performance through better alignment and synchronization of the enterprise’s functions and initiatives. He and the functional leaders are committed to ensuring the Aeronautics Company possesses the competencies and processes necessary for cutting-edge technology development, systems integration and manufacturing. The organization includes Engineering, Enterprise Process Integration, Enterprise Resource Planning, Integrated Operations, Material Management, Production Operations, Program Management, Quality & Mission Success and Supply Chain Integration.
Mr. Stevenson began his career in 1975 with General Dynamics Fort Worth Division as an avionics design engineer in the F-16 Full-Scale Development program. In 1978, he was assigned as supervisor for the System Safety Engineering function for all aircraft programs at General Dynamics in Fort Worth. From 1986 through 1988, he worked at Marcon Industries, a Fort Worth software development and engineering company, as Vice President of Engineering. Rejoining General Dynamics in 1988, he served as an Engineering Manager on the A-12 and F-22 programs, becoming the Manager for all F-22 Supportability Initiatives in 1990. He began the international programs portion of his career in 1991, when he was named Director of F-16 programs for Turkey and Venezuela.
He joined the Business Development organization in 1995 and supported multiple international competitions. He first directed the Central Europe and then Singapore F-16 new-business capture efforts. He was appointed Vice President of the Business Development organization in 1999. In that position, he led the company’s worldwide marketing activities in pursuit of new orders for all of LM Aero’s products.
