Mrs. Martin is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of the Engineering Directorate, a 750-person organization with an annual budget of $600M that is comprised of functional expertise in the areas of product assurance, producibility/ production, systems engineering, industrial base support, rapid response initiatives, prototyping, manufacturing technology, configuration management, reliability and automatic test equipment/test program sets. The Engineering Directorate currently supports 29 programs in six Program Executive Offices in the Army, Navy and Air Force in addition to the Defense Logistics Agency, the Aviation and Missile Command Integrated Materiel Management Center and NASA.
She is a graduate from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, with a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering and from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, AL, with a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering. She is married to Ken Martin, and they have two children, Tatum and Tucker.
Patti’s government service of 23 years includes assignments serving as Deputy Director, Aviation Engineering Directorate; the first Program Manager for the Engineering Directorate Prototype Integration Facility (PIF); Acting Director, Engineering Directorate; and Chief, Production Engineering Division, Engineering Directorate.
