About
This network is open to both ASQ members and visitors.
The S.O.A.R. leadership team consists of the member leader project leader, ASQ Vice President Grace Duffy; the staff project partner, Executive Director and CSO Paul Borawski; and the team champion, ASQ Chairman Jerry Mairani. Heading up the Project Architecture team are member leader David Little and Karla Riesinger from the ASQ staff. The Education and Training task force is headed by member leader Larry Smith and staff leader Susan Westergard. Heading the Member Leader Communications task force are member leader Connie Faylor and staff leader Laurel Nelson-Rowe. The Body of Knowledge task force is headed by member leader Sue Jacobs and staff leaders Christopher Bauman and Bill Tony.
In addition to the work of the task forces, several other significant actions have been taken as an immediate result of the summit.
Member Leader Information Kits were distributed in October 2005 at the Member Value Leadership Summit and April 2006 at the Member Value Interchange events. The information was well-received, but the binders were unwieldy for participants. In an effort to improve and expand distribution beyond attendees at such events we are transitioning these to the Member Leader Community of Practice.
Stakeholder Dialogues have been well received by our sections. Eighteen (including those pending) are being held in 2006 and five are scheduled for 2007 so far. The next two sessions are in Dallas and Grand Rapids, Michigan, in January 2007. Dallas is looking at holding a 2 day event-one day for the Stakeholder Dialogue and one day for an Economic Case for Quality event held with the local Dallas business community.
