About the ASQ Sarbanes-Oxley Network (SOX)

The SOX network provides both ASQ members and visitors to www.asq.org the opportunity to network and participate in discussing the issues and challenges of the Sarbannes-Oxley legislation and its impact on corporate and social responsibility.

Purpose: Alert quality and environmental practitioners to the opportunities to partner with their internal financial auditors for providing inputs to top management and the Board of Directors on significant non-financial issues.

Goals:

  • Provide awareness of quality and environmental management systems (QMS/EMS) elements that support compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley Law (SOX).
  • Provide examples of QMS and EMS experts’ experiences supporting the SOX effort.
  • Provide reference material and define terms useful for supporting SOX compliance.
  • Provide techniques for reducing resource expenditures by using currently implemented management systems.
  • Expose operational professionals (quality, environmental, auditing, operations) to financial methodologies.

If you have questions or need more information about the ASQ Sarbanes-Oxley Network, please contact Jeanine Becker at jbecker@asq.org.
