Gary Turner

Gary Turner began his career as a professor at University of Nebraska and Miami University. His Ph.D. work at Ohio State interested him in organizational communication so he left teaching to work for 10 years at M&M/Mars. In 1990 he formed Turner Consulting to pursue his interest in teaming which he has done since. He has worked with AT&T, BlueCross BlueShield, ConocoPhillips, Detroit Edison, Foster Wheeler, General Motors, SAP, Veterans Affairs, Verizon Wireless, Wolf Creek Nuclear, and Warner Bros. In 1996 he became interested in the discipline and organization of the ITEA process, served as a judge since 1998, and still becomes excited to hear every team's story of success. He feels the challenge of presenting the team's story is as valuable as the challenge of team work.
