What inspires Jeff to support the ITEA process and why he continues to serve as a site trainer, judge, and Committee Member: "Simply I am a believer in what the ITEA process enables. My favorite book, "Forth Generation Management (Brain Joiner), covers key lessons from Dr. Deming and goes into the essential elements of management: Quality, Scientific Method, and All One Team. The ITEA process supports all three of these elements, especially the teamwork and communication amongst various levels of an organization.

The ITEA process is also a great networking opportunity for quality professionals and is a proven vehicle for sharing best practices in various industries.

My most memorable ITEA moment: During the 2001 ITEA final ceremonies, hearing your team name as an award winner, and absorbing the applause from a full conference room of quality professionals. It was a moment when time stood still as you and your team members approach the stage to receive the award.  Then afterwards, other teams congratulating your efforts and taking the time to hear more about the process we took to address the customer's need.

Too many professionals get caught-up inU the day-to-day chaos of business, but never take the time to see the accomplishments. Going through the ITEA process gives you a chance to look back at the accomplishments and provides you the feeling that your work really did make a difference.“
