Judges
Barry Bickley is a Master Black Belt working as an internal process-improvement consultant on Bank of America’s Global Risk operations. Most of Barry’s efforts revolve around leaning out processes–removing waste and cost, while improving the quality of the work being done. Barry became involved with the Team Excellence Awards process through North Carolina’s Team Showcase. He facilitated teams that won the North Carolina award in 1998 and 1999–the 1999 team went on to win the National Team Excellence Gold Award. Barry also facilitated a team that won the International Team Excellence Bronze Award in 2001. Since 2000, Mr. Bickley has been involved with the awards process as both a regional and national/international competition judge. Since 2005, Barry has also served on the International Team Excellence Committee, contributing to the ongoing development of both the criteria and the training material used for the judges. He has also applied his lean skills to simplifying behind-the-scenes processes used in judging and scoring the teams. |
