Welcome to the Insurance Industry Network!
This network is the place for professionals in the international insurance community involved in quality, sustainable development, or in the pursuit of excellence, to share their collective experiences and exchange information and ideas on how to continually improve the quality of their services as perceived by their clients and the other stakeholders.
The insurance technique is difficult to assess. The actual cost of losses becomes known long after the sale of the insurance contract. It is no wonder, then, that insurers are very careful in selecting the risks they consent to cover, and in limiting coverage for financial sustainability. When claims occur, years after the sale, the quality of the settlement as perceived by the client often differs from the quality of the settlement as perceived by the insurer. This difference in quality perception is probably at its highest in the insurance industry, compared to the other sectors.
Significant progress has been made, however, by leading insurance companies, agents, and brokers. Some are certified to ISO 9001:2000 or under other standards, and some are pursuing the route of excellence or implement modern continual improvement methods to enhance the satisfaction of their customers. Lean and Six Sigma are no longer ignored by the insurance industry. The network enables discussion between these leaders and others so that all may collectively benefit from the knowledge of their peers.
