Course Description:
This positive, high-energy, participatory and skills-based two-day workshop will utilize audit-based case studies, video scenarios, self-assessment instruments, team exercises and simulations to increase participants' understanding of the bottom-line business imperative of diversity knowledge and competency in 21st century leading-edge businesses.  This foundation will then be used to develop and apply skills to build more creative and effective audit teams, enhance customer value and loyalty, avoid unprofessional or litigious pitfalls, and grow a professional reputation of integrity and cutting edge competenc

Course Objectives:
1) Clarifying how diversity is, but is includes awareness and skills in dealing with the "less obvious". Diversity categories include cultural background, working styles, areas of specialization, job level, and educational background.
2)  Raising awareness and developing skills to expand diversity in our own ranks, and to harness the synergy of diversity by accessing and utilizing the unique talents and perspectives of professionals from all backgrounds.
3)  Increasing understanding of how cultural diversity competencies enhance customer value to external clients as well as to internal customers
4)  Developing strategies to link diversity competencies to more comprehensively and effectively perform the audit function
5)  Leveraging diversity competencies to strengthen understanding of, and compliance with, the ASQ Code of Ethics, Professional Conduct and Responsibilities, and to proactively identify and reduce liability.  

Bio:
David Tulin is the president of Tulin DiversiTeam Associates, an interracial, intergender consulting/training group specializing in 1-1 Executive Coaching, the development of Emotional Intelligence Competencies, and Excellence Through Diversity and Sexual Harassment Prevention/Intervention programming for management and employees in a spirit of camaraderie absent of guilt and blame, with the focus on professional behavior, team-building and high performance organizational culture change. Participants will be limited to 80 attendees.
