Recent ASQ Meetings in Washington, DC

October 14, 2004 — The following is a synopsis of meetings held on behalf of ASQ in Washington, DC, September 21, 2004. Representing ASQ: Amy Kimball, Sellery Associates, Inc., and Dick Sandretti, Sandretti Associates, Inc.

Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR). To seek support for the Baldrige not-for-profit legislation in the Senate.

American Association of Community Colleges. Meeting in response to recommendation of ASQ member to determine potential for collaboration.

Federal Consulting Group. Meeting at the request of the director to solicit assistance from ASQ regarding effectiveness of the American Customer Satisfaction Index with the objective of furthering its use among federal agencies.

U.S. Department of Education. Meeting to review ASQ’s education process white paper, and to discuss the effectiveness of Koalaty Kid.
