Newly Formed Panel to Advise ASQ on Issues
A new advisory panel, called the Issue Action Working Group, has been formed to counsel ASQ's Office of the President on current and potential issues affecting ASQ. Its purpose is to allow ASQ to respond in a timely and appropriate way to issues affecting the quality profession.
Announcing the formation of the group, ASQ Chairman Liz Keim pointed out that it is in line with ASQ's strategic direction and the expressed desire of many members for ASQ to become involved in issues facing the quality profession.
The Issue Action Working Group's tasks include: Filtering and analyzing information on issues of potential interest to ASQ; assessing organizational exposure to threats and opportunities; prioritizing issues; deciding whether an issue merits a response from ASQ; and recommending courses of action to take in responding to a particular issue.
Members of the Issue Action Working Group, who will serve terms of one to two years, are:
